Mrs. Becky Jean Bennett, age 74, passed away at her home in Muskegon, Michigan on Wednesday, February 28, 2024. She was born in Howell, Michigan on December 12, 1949

Becky graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. She was a talented artist and in her earlier years enjoyed painting and sculpting. Becky raised llamas and for nearly 25 years bred and raised large exotic birds. She was known throughout the US as an expert in her field.

Her artistic and innovative mind was continuously working, and eventually she created Bennett IMPS, specializing in building custom parrot cages. Becky had an amazing ability to see a design challenge and solve it. She was wonderful at the planning process – hearing the customer’s needs and wants then coming up with supportive and alternate ideas resulting in the perfect enclosure.

She and her husband Dave traveled throughout the US installing the cages.
